Coconut oil used in the 1950’s?
Before I get into the uses and benefits of coconut oil, first a little history!
Coconut oil used to be widely used years ago. Back in the 1950’s most households used it as a cooking staple, but researchers determined that all saturated fats were bad for you. People then turned to Polysaturated fats (vegetable oils) after research showed them to be healthy.
Recently however, researchers concluded that consuming too much Polysaturated fat was in fact bad for you!

Important Note⇒ Don’t spit out the coconut oil into your sink or toilet, it will harden when it gets cold and clog up your plumbing!

Personally I like to use it in my eggs, it tastes good and is a healthy alternative to butter. It can also be a tasty on pancakes!

Coconut Energy Bites
- 1 cup Shredded coconut
- 1 cup Almond Flour
- 1/3 cup coconut oil
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon grey sea salt
Mix well & roll into walnut sized balls. Roll in some shredded coconut to coat balls. Store in fridge and enjoy!
Always go for RAW!
Remember when looking for coconut oil to look for the extra virgin oil (coconut oil in its rawest form). This will ensure that it contains the least amount of refinement, and the most amount of healing power!
Although coconut oil is still being researched, its many benefits are clear.
Adding this oil to your daily diet will give you more energy and improve your overall wellbeing.
